Important note: Steven is shooting pix in low light. Randy is not using worklights. It’s a dark and rainy day outside — and the house with no lights installed is dark. The wide-angle lens on the camera casts a round shadow across the bottom of the shot if he uses flash — and it obscures the photo. Something to ask about at the camera store and to research online.
Above, Randy checks the level on part of the run of cabinets — dog station and storage at left, then cooktop cabinet, then utensil storage and, closest to the camera, the trash cabinet.
The back of the sink cabinet. Randy has drilled out holes for the hot and cold water pipes, the drain pipe, and electrical outlets. Note the penciled grid he is using to guide his cuts. Here’s the wall Randy has to fit the kitchen cabinet against, with the electrical outlets and pipe fittings he has to cut penetrations for.Randy test fits the sink cabinet. The pipe runs across the floor at the back of the cabinet platform may need adjusting — something to discuss with Ron before screwing the cabinet to the wall.
Randy checks the end of a second run of base cabinets at the back door of the kitchen. The oven and microwave will be mounted atop the left and middle boxes.
